www.MAKUstudio.com

I purchased the MAKUstudio domain name last year sometime and managed to get a pseudo website up and running through GoDaddy and Website Tonight. I wasn't really that thrilled with it, so I finally switched over to www.weebly.com. The people at Weebly really make it easy to create a website! I like the look a lot better now and it didn't take me very long to create. Another one of my goals has been to add my own shopping cart. I just signed up with www.Mercantec.com and was able to add a FREE shopping cart to my website! Woohoo! So, I added one item and appears that everything is working. I'm now able to accept Google Checkout and Paypal. Yippee! I'll be adding more items very soon! Check out my website www.MAKUstudio.com when you get the chance and let me know what you think!

Raku Jewelry and Seed Beads...Design by PinkPoochDesigns

Well, what can I say?!!! Stunning! I just love what Staci of PinkPoochDesigns did with one of my handmade raku beads! She contacted me requesting that the beads have no holes and explained about the amazing seed bead bezels that she was going to make. So much intricate work went into this design. Staci sells her fabulous work on Etsy. To find out what Staci has to say about this spectacular necklace of hers, visit the direct link to this listing here. Thanks so much Staci for sharing your creation and for using MAKUstudio raku beads in your amazing designs!

Raku Platters

My latest raku platters! They measure about 14 inches in diameter. Handmade in my home studio and fired in my homemade raku kiln! I currently have mostly pendants listed in my MAKUstudio online shop, but hope to list some platters in the near future! These platters are available for purchase at Behind the Doors Gallery in Yarnell, Arizona. Tell them Mak sent you!

I was featured in a blog!

So excited! I was featured in www.girl-indieblog.com. Lisa Bacon, "one of the chicks behind Girl Indie", featured my handmade raku "I love Etsy" magnet. She was in search of some great handmade items for the office. Thank you Lisa! Here is the magnet that she listed, but it would be great if you could check out her blog as well. I love making my little raku magnets! Clay is my passion!
